Embellishments

Since we now have a new house, we are adding things that we've always wanted to have.  For me, that is a patio with a fire pit.  So here are some before and after pictures. I can't wait til cool fall evenings with fire, friends, and wine.

Two new additions to the family.

In April we bought a house.  Though the rental in Hanahan met our needs as a family, we were not 100% happy there.  We decided that there were other things that were important to us in a house, like a neighborhood with a pool. :) Since it is a buyer's market, we took advantage of the flooded market and bought a wonderful house in Mt. Pleasant, just five minutes away from my brother, Blair, and his family.  We needed a house with four bedrooms to accommodate our growing family, which includes the addition of our son, Ford, due mid-September. We are thrilled to be having another baby and Parker will be a great big brother.

New Beginings

 A year ago we moved to Charleston from Bluffton, SC. Though we loved living in Bluffton, Stephen was out of a job and unsuccessful at finding a decent paying chef job.So we picked up our lives and moved to a city that he and I both loved and had many memories from our past lives before we met each other.We both were jobless at the time and decided to rent somewhere centrally located in a suburb outside Charleston.  We landed in Hanahan, right around the corner from one of my college besties, Valorie. Fortunately three weeks after moving, Stephen found a job and then 2 weeks after that I found a job.  It was meant to be.

New to this!

I am new to this blogging thing but love reading up on my friends' blogs.  Since we have started a new chapter in our lives I though it might be a good way to update everyone. So please bear with me as I try to figure this whole thing out!
